What’s inside our seasoning blends and why?

Time to meet the ingredients of your newest hormone allies!

Eating the right foods can be incredibly beneficial in supporting our bodies. We’re here to make that process easy and fun! We also want to empower you to take control of your hormone health and understand exactly what you put into your body. 

With that in mind, let’s talk about the ingredients of both of our seasoning blends, and more importantly, why they benefit you through each phase of your cycle.

Follicular = First


During the first half of our cycle, we want to help our bodies replenish the nutrients lost during our period (like iron, zinc and B12). We also want to facilitate healthy estrogen metabolism, support our thyroid, and supply key nutrients and fatty acids that help our bodies build hormones in the first place.

Our Pumpkin and Flax Seasoning Blend is a harmonious fusion of seeds and herbs that help support our thyroid function and energy levels associated with blood loss. The high levels of zinc and magnesium in pumpkin seeds have been shown to alleviate PMS symptoms. Ground flax seeds are high in fiber and “lignans,” which help metabolize and eliminate excess estrogen from our system to keep us in balance.

TLDR Details:

Pumpkin Seeds - Rich in magnesium and zinc, both of which have been shown to alleviate PMS symptoms.

Flax Seeds - High in fiber and lignans which help our bodies eliminate excess estrogen and stay in hormone balance.

Nettle Leaf - Full of iron, which helps replenish and support our thyroid. It also contains B vitamins that are critical to our energy levels.

Sea Kelp - Rich source of iodine, another mineral critical to normalizing our thyroid function and facilitating ovulation. 

Dried Onion/Garlic/Sea Salt - Antimicrobial and mineral dense, fully traceable and flavorful. 

Luteal = Last

During this second half of our cycle, we might feel PMS symptoms start to creep in as our hormone levels drop. We want to focus on keeping our blood sugar steady and eating foods that aid digestion and support our liver in processing these hormones. 

The Sunflower and Sesame Seasoning Blend offers seeds and herbs that are high in vitamin E, helping us boost progesterone levels and selenium, which support our liver. Sesame seeds have been shown to lower inflammation and are high in micronutrients like magnesium, vitamin B1 and B6. Rosemary helps support detoxification, while fennel and fenugreek aid digestion and keep things movin’ (when a rise in progesterone during this phase can slow things down).

TLDR Details:

Sunflower Seeds - Great source of selenium (our liver’s best friend) and vitamin E to help support healthy progesterone levels.

Sesame Seeds - Full of magnesium, vitamin B1, B6, and zinc to help lower inflammation and metabolize cholesterol.

Rosemary - Dense in a strong antioxidant called carnosol that has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-cancerous properties. Also activates detox pathways to help restore balance to hormone levels.

Fenugreek Seeds - High in the good kind of phytoestrogens, which are compounds that act like estrogen and can help regulate ovulation.

Fennel Seeds - Can improve digestion and decrease gas and bloating.

Dried Onion/Garlic/Sea Salt - High levels of minerals and YUM.
